RECongress draws Catholics from across the nation and around the globe. It is provided by the Office of Religious Education, a department of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Initially, it started as an "Institute" of the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) in 1956, but it evolved into the three-day "Congress" format in 1967 and will celebrate its 70th anniversary next year. The 2025 Congress in Anaheim was a vibrant and inspiring event that brought together the Catholic community for four days of faith, learning, and connection. The annual event began with Youth Day on February 19, followed by three days dedicated to adult formation. This year's program featured over 140 English, Spanish, and Vietnamese workshops. The overarching theme, "Called to Compassion," resonated deeply with attendees, as dynamic speakers and engaging workshops beautifully captured the essence of compassion in faith. (more...)
