Though it’s one of the most famous local cemeteries, San Fernando Mission keeps its intimate charm. Unique to San Fernando Mission Cemetery | Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary is the Mission Garden. This special garden dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe offers variety of burial options adjacent the historic Mission San Fernando Rey with its chapel and artworks.
Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary, located on the grounds, is spacious and accommodating (18,000 square feet). Its chapel seats 160. Its reception area seats 70 and includes a fully equipped kitchen. The facility also has a flower shop, five private arrangement rooms, a visitor lounge, and a private meditation room for family. Ample parking is available.

Catholic Cemeteries & Mortuaries is excited to announce the upcoming Día de Los Muertos 2024 observance at San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024. San Fernando is marking its second annual event. The celebrations will include Mass, Blessing of the Altars, music, Folklorico, children's crafts, and cultural presentations. Everyone in the community is encouraged to participate, and volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to contribute their time.
